René graduated with an MSc in Energy Science and Technology from ETH, where he specialised in interactions between technology, the economy and policy for the successful diffusion of clean technologies. During his masters, René has also worked for the utility ewz, where he was involved in introducing a technology monitoring tool for identifying and assessing emerging sustainable technologies to boost the energy transition. At South Pole, René works as a Junior Consultant, particularly on plastics, developing solutions for corporates to address their plastic footprints, as well as on Scopes 1 to 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting, and on green products.
