March 2, 2015: South Pole Carbon has today announced the official transition to its new brand identity of south pole group as of 3 March, 2015 onwards. The company has developed into a truly global provider of sustainability solutions and wants this ongoing growth to be clearly reflected in its brand identity.
Ever since its inception in 2006, the evolution of South Pole Carbon has been a success story: starting off as a project-driven company focused on high-quality carbon credits, it has over the years become one of the leading providers of climate solutions. The company now offers a full spectrum of sustainability services, including climate policy and strategy advisory, in addition to its high quality carbon credits. As part of the process, South Pole Carbon has become the world's biggest developer of CO2 emission reduction projects. The company has additionally teamed up with partners Respect Climate from Sweden and Climate Friendly from Australia to best serve the markets it operates in across the entire value chain. As of 1 January 2015, Respect Climate has been fully integrated into South Pole Carbon – and soon to be south pole group.
The transition to the new brand identity reflects the company's move beyond being an emissions reduction project developer, wholesaler and retailer: expertise now covers the key sustainability-related areas of climate change, forests and land use, water, sustainable cities and buildings, as well as renewable energy and energy efficiency. South Pole Carbon's two main target segments will continue to be public and private entities. The company's enlarged scope of solutions, products and services will be the following :
“We feel that as a global player, developing a unified market approach that still carefully considers local customs and practices bears great potential for South Pole Carbon", says CEO Renat Heuberger. “Forging a meaningful, integrated global brand with compelling value propositions is key: presenting one unified identity to the market is very important in taking the company to the next level. We believe that this will truly support us in becoming the number one reference for environmental solutions on the market."
South Pole Carbon feels that the imperative to communicate such a diversified and value-chain oriented strategy under one brand is driven by a series of factors:
The next steps in the change to the new brand identity will include the launch of a new group website. The group's website address will from today onwards be thesouthpolegroup.com and the new website will be officially launched in mid-2015. The new website will replace existing group company websites, which include southpolecarbon.com and thesouthpolegroup.se.
The upcoming changes demonstrate the scope and ambition of being the global 'go-to' option for sustainability solutions. The company will continue serving its clients and partners with the trusted in-depth market knowledge and expertise as south pole group and aspires to remain the first choice as innovative and reliable high quality solutions provider.
