Senior Consultant Dr Maria Carvalho interviewed on the BBC following democratic student action to implement a beef ban on Goldsmith University's campus. Watch the clip.
Dr Carvalho says, "its exceptionally important not just at that university, but to give a signal to other universities to create massive action going forward".
Carvalho continues by emphasising the science that backs up how addressing our everyday food choices has the potential to help solve the climate crisis "Last week the IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change) has shown that your food choice does matter, in fact in the way agriculture affects land use, land use itself accounts for 33% of emissions in the past 10 years, to put that in perspective transport only took 15% according to this report."
