Many investors shy away from the time intensive research it takes to determine the best option for sustainable assets. It is up to the finance sector to offer support in this matter, which is already happening.
But how can consultants recognise quickly which criteria are applied to the concepts and how systematic the processes work and how trustworthy the products are? Which tools can help to foster transparency and quality? Is it possible to objectify these matters?
Other investors are interested in achieving a minimum standard of ESG-Quality. It is important for them to find information that goes beyond sustainable fonds. Are there companies in the portfolio that pose critical environmental, social or governance risks? How systematically are such criteria integrated in the analysis of companies and in the investment strategy, even if the fonds are not explicitly labeled sustainable? And how much influence do the portfolio managers excerpt over the sustainability of companies?
Those and other questions will be answered by five experts. South Pole Group's Dr. Maximilian Horster, Partner at South Pole Group, will be one of the experts tackling these challenging issues.
