Powering Chile with clean, green solar energy
Chile boasts a wealth of green energy resources, with the country having been declared as a 'world leader in renewable energy development.' In the Atacama desert, where this project is located, the country has some of the highest solar levels in the world. Investment in renewable energy infrastructure in these regions is key in aiding the country in it's transition towards a low-carbon economy while reducing global GHG levels.

The project combats the use of fossil fuels by installing a solar energy plant in the Antofagasta region of northern Chile. With the help of solar panels converting endless energy from the beating sun into sustainable electricity, the plant generates 950,000 MWh of clean energy which is directly sent to the national grid.
This project reduces Chile's reliance on carbon-intensive energy sources, displacing fossil fuels and reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions. It drives Chile toward growth and economic development, fulfilled by green and reliable power. By employing local workers, it provides sustainable income and skills training. It has also set up theatre and sports workshops for local children to improve the lives of the future generation in the region.
