Nature's Bottom Line: Accelerating Global Change through Corporate Biodiversity Action

September 20th 2023, 9-11am EST, New York

With last year’s landmark success at COP15, countries agreed to protect 30% of the earth’s biodiversity by 2030.

This involves a collaboration between countries and corporates: their action makes up a crucial part of achieving the 30x30 goal.

As part of Climate Week NY, South Pole is hosting this session “Nature's Bottom Line: Accelerating Global Change through Corporate Biodiversity Action", showcasing how companies and governments are incorporating biodiversity into their strategies.

Featuring frameworks such as the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) and the Science-based Targets Network for Nature (SBTN), speakers will delve into best practices as well as demonstrate the development of a global transnational unit - the Biodiversity Credit. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear how to move the needle on global biodiversity action, play a vital role in facilitating finance for nature and drive forward sustainable business practices.
