Many investors shy away from the time intensive research it takes to determine the best option for sustainable investments. It is up to the finance sector to offer support in this matter.
But how can consultants recognise as quickly as possible if the criteria applied to the concepts are valid, how systematic the processes work and how trustworthy the products are? Which tools can help foster transparency and quality? Is it possible to objectify these matters?
Other investors are interested in achieving a minimum standard of ESG-Quality. It is important for them to find information that goes beyond sustainable funds. Are there companies in the portfolio that pose critical environmental, social or governance risks? Are such criteria integrated systematically into the analysis of companies and in the investment strategy - even if the funds are not explicitly labeled sustainable? And how much influence do the portfolio managers exert over the sustainability of companies?
Those and other questions will be answered by five panelists. Dr. Maximilian Horster, Partner at South Pole Group, will be one of the experts tackling these challenging issues.
