The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world's largest inter-sectoral platform for examining knowledge, sharing experiences and accelerating action towards resilient, climate friendly, sustainable landscapes. Founded by CIFOR, UN Environment, and The World Bank, and with core funding provided by the German Government, the GLF is scaling-up to engage one billion people and significantly contribute towards the achievement of the sustainable development goals and post-2015 climate agenda. Since 2013, over 25,000 stakeholders from more than 3,000 organizations and 110 countries have engaged with the GLF, with participants representing community and indigenous peoples' organizations, finance, civil society, government, media, academia, research, and youth.
The 2017 Global Landscapes Forum conference in Bonn will expand and enhance discussions to a larger audience than ever before, placing communities and local contexts at the center of the conversation. This event will challenge global influencers from all sectors to scale-up the actions required to transition towards more sustainable landscapes. Together, through collaborative leadership, we will create a global force for positive change by realizing a vision of what we can do if we all work together. The event will be accompanied by a global outreach program that will reach hundreds of thousands globally through traditional and online media, and will be broadcast globally on live web stream.
South Pole is partnering with the event. Meet Florian Reber, Senior Manager, Land Use & Sustainable Supply Chains, Pablo Llopis, Senior Land Use & Sustainability Expert and Andrea Vera, Forest and Land Use Adviser in Bonn.
