On Wednesday 8 August, South Pole's climate modelling expert, Dr. Nico Kroener, hosted a successful webinar for Australian audiences to present the company's innovative new Climate Risk Tool for Investors.
The webinar was an interactive session that featured a live demonstration of the Climate Risk Tool in action. A key focus was the underlying methodology of the tool and its practical applications that help investors manage climate risks and opportunities in the finance sector.
The new tool allows investors to quickly and accurately quantify future climate change risks at the portfolio, sector, geography or holdings levels, providing much needed insights into the physical climate risks facing investment portfolios.
South Pole developed the tool based on more than a decade of experience, during which the sustainability solutions provider has mobilised over $15 billion in climate finance and screened over $2 trillion in assets and investments for climate risk.
If you missed the webinar, you can watch a recording of it here.
