20 February, 2025, Amsterdam: South Pole, the leading carbon asset developer and climate consultancy, is pleased to announce the promotion of Abderrahman Kasmi to Global Head of Sales & Portfolio Management, effective immediately.
As part of the executive team, Abderrahman will lead South Pole's global, integrated sales team and continue to head the company's trading and portfolio management arm, which he has done successfully since joining South Pole in 2017.

Abderrahman is an accomplished executive with over 15 years of experience in the carbon, renewables, and environmental markets. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at a large renewable energy company, where he steered the development of new environmental markets, helping clients reach their decarbonisation goals. Abderrahman has extensive expertise in business development, structuring renewable energy and carbon certificate transactions, and managing client relationships, from local producers to large global corporations.
