Addressing climate change requires global sector-overarching cooperation and the use of innovative policy, financing and market solutions. We want to draw your attention to the conference sessions our team is actively involved in:
"Climate Markets for Sustainable Supply Chain Management" taking place on Thursday, 28 May, 14:00-15:00. Patrick Bürgi, Director Public Sector & Chairman of the Board at South Pole Group will join other panelists from Unilever, Climate Care, Carbon Market Institute and Accor Group Hotels. They will explore the latest trends of developing carbon projects within corporate supply chains as an effective tool to managing supply chain emissions, whilst contributing to supply chain resilience.
"China's Carbon Markets" taking place on Thursday, 28 May, 14:00-15:00. Manuel Cocco, Principal, Strategy Development will be part of the panel to discuss China's approches to emissions trading. They differ from that of other countries, and these approaches are now being observed and explored by other countries in Asia interested in putting a price on carbon.
This year we partner with IETA for their Nightcap Reception taking place during Carbon Expo on the evening of 27 May from 21:30-midnight, beachfront in Barcelona. This will be an invitation only networking reception, for around key 200 guests. We have a couple of invitations to share – please get in touch to receive one.
In addition to that, we are happy to announce that Kariba REDD+ project will be exhibited in the Hall P5, Level 0, Street B, Stand 231. This forest conservation project is aimed at providing sustainable livelihood opportunities for poor communities in Northern Zimbabwe, a region now suffering heavily from deforestation, poverty, and drought.
