The online electricity comparison platform comparis.ch is pleased to present the first independent online comparison tool for electricity open to all consumers in Switzerland. With over 700 regional electricity suppliers in Switzerland alone, the tool makes it possible to compare product offers between local and national electricity suppliers in terms of price and origin of electricity. Comparis.ch provides consumers with an overview of the products available to their homes and gives them the opportunity to make more informed decisions regarding how they wish to have their electricity generated.
Comparis.ch is primarily managed by myNewEnergy, a specialized, independent actor in the areas of energy and electricity, and supported by south pole group, who has co-invested in myNewEnergy since the beginning of 2013.
"The platform is the result of a collaboration between myNewEnergy and a group of experts. The actors include environmental protection and consumer associations as well as energy suppliers and government authorities”, says Christina Marchand, founder of myNewEnergy in their official press release on the launch.
"Thanks to the impartial electricity comparison, comparis.ch brings transparency to the electricity market," said Felix Schneuwly, spokesman of comparis.ch, adding that "every person living in Switzerland must be able to freely choose the price and type of electricity that they are supplied with. With comparis.ch, consumers gain a quick and easy overview of the products that are available to them.”
The press release for the launch of comparis.ch is available in French and in German.
