South Pole is delighted to welcome George Favaloro as Head of Climate Solutions, North America. George will be responsible for offering South Pole's sustainability solutions to its North American clients, and managing all aspects of South Pole's North American commercial business to ensure maximum climate impact for its customers.
George has 15 years of experience in corporate sustainability, working with clients to reduce their carbon emissions and to procure renewable energy solutions and offsets to achieve net zero emissions. His clients included leaders in consumer products, retailing, apparel, information and communications technology, chemicals, and industrial products.

George's sustainability background includes leading the Net Zero practice at Anthesis LLC., and being a sustainability practice leader at PwC. He is the founder and manager at Esty Environmental Partners (a sustainability strategy boutique which was acquired by PwC), and is a founder of Terrapass (a retail carbon offset company).
Prior to his career in sustainability, George's experience includes executive team roles at three venture-backed startups, founding and growing Compaq's Internet Solutions Division, and managing strategy development and innovation projects with McKinsey & Company. George holds 5 US patents.
