The European Biomethane Conference offers a platform to discuss new trends and perspectives on biomethane and renewable gases in Europe. The last three years the conference had taken place in Berlin and attracted every year around 150 participants from more than 15 countries. This year the EBC will go on a journey with Dublin as first stop on 20 September 2018.
Why Dublin? The technical potential of biomethane in Ireland has been estimated at around 33PJ in 2020, equivalent to around 11% of final energy demand or a third of total gas demand. This conference will set a signal for the development of a biomethane market in Ireland. With this conference, organised by dena jointly with RGFI, we are sending out a signal for the development of a biomethane market in Ireland.
Meet leaders from the politics, gas industry, trade associations, energy agencies, producers and traders of biomethane, scientists and politicians from Ireland and all over Europe. Learn about green gas markets in other European countries and discuss innovative technologies as well as regulatory obstacles and opportunities.
