"If you want to get people behind the fight for climate change it has to be easy and simple to contribute." Renat Heuberger, CEO, South Pole Group, speaks with Mathias Antonsson from from sustainability-focused podcast Plurrify on social entrepreneurship, fighting climate change and the importance of strong vision.
'When we started out, climate change was not something that people really understood," Renat reflects. "If you want to solve environmental problems, people need to see the direct benefit of taking action - both on a 'grassroots', day to day basis, but on also on a grander scale. Looking at the big picture, the job of governments is to set the playing field, but to succeed in the long-run, you also need to have the private sector on board."
